  • No road trip to the north east of Winnipeg can be complete without a visit to Cynthia's Cornerstone Cafe. This place is superb! Great staff, always friendly, great service and fantastic food made fresh. They make a Reuben sandwich that's simply off the taste bud chart. Worth a visit, for sure.

  • Busy little place with the cottagers ect. Locals fill out the clientele for the portion of the off season they remain open. Great food ar resonable pricing and a fair vatiety of tasty item on their menu. New owners have been there for a while now. Food seems to be much the same, still worth the stop to get a good meal.

  • Went here for pickup for lunch at the end of June, 2020. No eat in option at this point, which is to be expected. I got a double cheeseburger and fries, with the total being around $15, which I thought was very reasonable based on the quality of food. First of all, the fries. They were truly delicious. They are of the fatter softer variety and were nicely seasoned with salt. I'm typically more of a crispy fry guy, but the taste of these was outstanding. Sometimes, eating fries I feel like I am eating crispy deep fried goodness without really tasting the potato essence, but these actually tasted like starchy fries. I feel like these would make great poutine fries. An order was big enough to share for two, but I was able to handle it on my own. Now, the burger. First thing I noticed was that there were caramelized onions under the patties, which added an extra richness of flavour that I enjoyed. Then I noticed that the cheese was not lost in the mix, and it actually tasted like McDonald's cheese, which I have to admit I love on a burger. Next came the firmness of the patties which made the burger overall feel extremely beefy. The patties were not at all overcooked, they just had a great "stuck together" texture to them that was very nice. The pickles, tomato and lettuce worked well together and were not lost in the mix. On the top bun was slathered what I believe to be Miracle Whip. While I generally despise MW in favour of actual mayo, I actually believe it went well on this burger, providing a hint of sweetness that complimented the patties and onions. The bun was a fairly unimaginative sesame seed number which did the job, but felt like it could have been close to self destruction at some points. A more hearty bun would have been welcome in my opinion. Overall, extremely worth the trip from anywhere in Manitoba, and I can't wait to go back.

  • The food was great and reasonable even with the new owners. I think there was not much difference with the food quality and taste, I'm glad they were able to maintain that. Be prepared for mosquitoes when planning to eat outside during summer. Would recommend and we will definitely go back.

  • I think they have made a vast improvement over the previous owners. We ordered hamburgers and fries, and they were great. The fries were crispy and full of flavour and the hamburgers were perfectly made with a thick juicy patty and fresh bun and condiments.

  • Update: The Reuben Sandwhich was the best I ever had! Update: Again stopped for their daily special. Their BLT was fantastic! Fries always good. And their homemade soups are delicious! Sunday was Potato and Bacon. Loads of soft potatoes with bacon. Great for a cold day. I stopped for some rings. They were great, and lots. But, the owners are what will make me come back. Very nice people. Nice atmosphere. Good for snowmobilers. Update... Best homemade cream of mushroom soup! Plentiful chips!
